Backsberg Kosher Brut in the Washington Post

Acclaimed wine writer, Dave McIntyre of the Washington Post has included the 2017 Backsberg Kosher Brut in his selection of five wines to accompany your Seder dinner:

The Back family has been making wine in South Africa, including a line of kosher wines to celebrate their Lithuanian Jewish heritage. Their brut bubbly, made from chardonnay and pinot noir grapes, is produced in the “Méthode Cap Classique,” or traditional champagne method — bright and fruity with red currant flavors and a leesy note for added interest. Best served quite cold. Mevushal, Kosher for Passover. Sustainably farmed. ABV: 12 percent.
