Partnership

The winery was originally established by a group of Bergamo businessmen inspired by the winemaking prowess of French-trained Giuseppe Losapio. In 1976 the vineyard expanded and settled in San Vincenzo a Torri.

In 2014, three longtime employees of the company partnered together and took the professional reins from Giuseppe Losapio. They have since injected a renewed wave of enthusiasm and innovation without forgetting the winery’s ties to the Tuscan land.

Winemaking

Located at altitudes of 250-300 metres, the vineyards of Azienda Uggiano stretch over the hillsides joining Montespertoli with Montelupo Fiorentino and San Casciano Val di Pesa. Since 1976 the cellars have been located in San Vincenzo a Torri, near the river Pesa, a wonderful testimony to the past and tradition of Tuscany.

The atmospheric ageing cellars are host to wooden barrels with a capacity of 3000 - 6000 litres for maturing the wine, and French oak barrique casks of 225 litres, where Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay are matured for longer periods to enhance their aromatic features.
